Ordering

It is our desire to make ordering your guitar as easy as possible.  To do this we only have a few things to remember.  Below you will find the terms of ordering.  If you have any questions please give us a shout.

Deposit:  There is a $750 non-refundable deposit upon placing your order.  If your guitar has major upgrades the deposit may increase to reflect our cost, but that is a rarity. The balance of the order will be due upon completion.

Satisfaction Guarantee:  We guarantee you'll love your Mayes guitar. If a clear and easily definable major issue is present with the guitar to warrant your dissatisfaction ("um well, gee I just don't jive with it" is not a valid reason), and notified within 3 days upon receipt of guitar we will gladly either take the guitar back and re-sell it, and upon it's sale refund you the entirety of your payments, or we will re-build the guitar and do everything possible to correct the issues present in the first guitar.  That said we have never had anyone reject a guitar!

Cancellation:  If an instrument is ordered, and deposit is made there is a 5 day grace period in which you may cancel your order for whatever reason.  No questions asked.  If, however, you decide you want to cancel your order after the 5 days is up you will forfeit your deposit in it's entirety.

Payment Methods:  I gladly accept personal checks, money orders, and cashiers checks.  I will also accept paypal as a form of payment however since the fees can really add up buyer agrees to include an additional 3% in the payment to make up for the loss in fees.  This additonal 3% does not go twoard the balance of your guitar.

Delivery Dates: Being a one man solo shop it is hard, if not impossible to give exact delivery dates.  All dates given are guidelines, not guarantees and the guitar may be completed before or after the due date.  It is expected that delays may occur, however John will do everything possible to complete instruments in a timely fashion.  If any variation from the due dates are expected John will be in contact with you, and keep you apprised every step of the way.  If the guitar is considerably early (more than 3 months) you will not be expected to pay the balance until the due date arrives unless you and John have made arrangements otherwise.
